Gary has taught Economics, Finance, and Entrepreneurship at HMC since 1981, where he founded and runs the Entrepreneurial Network.

Two years out of Mudd, Randy co-founded Media Defender ($42.5M exit), then co-founded Ad Colony ($350M exit), and is now co-founder and CEO of Lucid Sight ($4M raised), a VR company in LA.

Alyssa is a Partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP in Santa Monica, the foremost legal firm for startups. She's graciously arranged for possible fee deferrals or other discounted rates for Orrick legal expenses for us.

Dallas Kashuba

Dallas Kashuba

Dallas co-founded DreamHost with Josh in 1996, and is now co-CEO of the $50M/year company. He's also invested in, advised, and served on the board of dozens of tech startups in recent years.

Jason has an engineering background and is a principal at Vicente Capital Partners, a private equity firm in LA. He's served on the board, as a board observer, as CFO and as CTO for many of their portfolio companies.

Josh has been a director, partner, and principal at numerous incubators and accelerators including Launchpad LA, io/LA, and Idealab. He now lives in New Orleans (LA!) where he runs LookFar, a startup studio.

Benson co-founded Motiv Power Systems (who've raised $16M so far) in 2008, maker of all-electric powertrains to retrofit buses and trucks. Since 2014 he's been a senior battery development engineer at SpaceX.

Edith was a product manager at Monster and TripIt before co-founding LaunchDarkly ($11M raised) in 2014. She's the CEO and is also a startup mentor at Alchemist Accelerator in the bay area.

Max co-founded 3D printing startup Layer by Layer (YC S13) while at Mudd, which got acquired by MakerBot. Now he's co-founder and CEO of Voodoo Manufacturing (YC W17) which has raised $1M so far.

Chris spent his whole career in the wine industry before starting his own vineyard in Occidental in 2012, Senses Wines. Then in 2016 he opened his own restaurant, Duchess Oakland, in... Oakland.

Greg was an early employee at Google, which is a decent-sized search engine. Now he lives an entrepreneurial life in New York City producing Broadway musicals!

Ho has been a managing director at Altos Ventures, a silicon valley VC, for over 20 years. Before that he worked at Silicon Graphics. He has an MBA from Stanford and is awesome.

Mike's been a serial entrepreneur ever since Mudd... currently he's the CEO of Mayfield Robotics, building robots for the home. Before that he founded the YC-incubated company Matterport.

Kevin is co-founder and CTO of Whistle Labs, maker of pet tracking hardware that had a nine-figure exit in 2016 to Mars Petcare. There are a lot of pets in the world!

Avi was the main hardware architect for Kinect and Surface at Microsoft, before leaving in 2011 with some co-workers to found PicoBrew, which has raised over $15M in funding!

Eric was founder and CEO of Tourmaline Networks, which got acquired in 2005. Since then he's been an Angel Investor and private pilot, more recently with a focus on crypto and HMC INQ!

Mike is the CEO of MEMS Journal, where he organizes industry conferences, invests in startups, and works on M&A deals. While at HMC he founded MindCruiser, one of the first online IP marketplaces!

Mike was an early technical employee at VMware and helped grow them for over a decade before joining NetCitadel, who had a successful early exit to Proofpoint. Mike knows how to grow tech startups!

Surya founded WolfeTech in 1997, which he grew to an $80M company. He then founded GXB Ventures in 2005 which he still runs, and has been a TechStars mentor and Network President of Tech Coast Angels.

Bob is a Partner at Fennick & West LLP, the premiere IP law firm for silicon valley, where he's been for 16 years. Among a myriad of other duties, he is lead outside councel for Facebook on IP matters.

Louise was Senior Software Engineer at goodreads, from when they worked out of the founder's house all the way through their $150M acquisition by Amazon. Now she's the Lead Developer for KPCC.
