HMC INQ is a twice a year, 1-week intensive startup program modeled after YC, but based in Santa Monica and only open to (all) HMC graduates.
Startups admitted receive $50K via a YC SAFE usually capped at $1.25M (depending on the state of your startup), office space during the program, ongoing guidance from our mentors (including attending all future startup weeks), tons of legal and cloud services credit, invaluable peer support, fantastical guest speakers daily... all culminating with Demo Day on the Friday.
The brain child of Josh Jones (HMC '98, DreamHost co-founder and Bitcoin fractional Billionaire) and Gary Evans (HMC Ruth and Harvey Berry Professor of Entrepreneurial Leadership), HMC INQ requires all companies that apply have at least one HMC graduate as a co-founder (with at least 20% equity).
But wait, there's more...
The deadline for applications is Aug 26th, 2019. We accept four to six companies per class, with decisions made by September 15th. Once you're in, you also are encouraged to attend all future week-long programs... you're an INQer for life!
Also, if you're an HMC alum interested in being an HMC INQ partner, or a business that would like to offer resources to our companies, or have any questions at all, just email Josh Jones for help!
